Respectable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Joseph Vijay has expanded the his government and with this the total strength of the Cabinet to 32 ministers. In a significant political move, CM Vijay has retained the Home portfolio along with Youth Welfare and make the important changes in the finance department.
Tamil Nadu witnessed the major cabinet expansion as Chief Minister Joseph Vijay inducted the total 23 new ministers into his government.
Earlier, Vijay had taken oath along with nine ministers from his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
With the latest expansion, the Cabinet ministers now stands at 32 members.
Under the constitutional rules, Tamil Nadu can have up to 35 ministers, which is 15 percent of the State Assembly’s strength of 234.
