With Paraguay committed to playing defensively, the superstar’s French team couldn’t find a moment of magic for most of the match.

Kylian Mbappe scored the only goal of a bad-tempo game from the penalty spot after Desire Doue was brought down by Paraguay’s Diego Gomez.

For his winning goal, French captain Kylian Mbappe won the Player of the Match.
